Anna-Marie Johnson is a 19-year-old girl from Windhoek. After both her parents passed away, Anna-Marie was adopted by her current mother. In 2008, at the age of 8 years she hurt her back in a swimming pool, became paralysed and ended up in a wheelchair.

Last week Informanté reported that residents of Rev Gottlob Mungunda Street in Wanaheda are not happy with City of Windhoek’s (CoW) initiative of constructing a tarred wheelchair pathway in the middle of a narrow street without tarring the whole street as requested last year already.
