Following earlier denials by the Namibian Football Association (NFA) secretary-general Barry Rukoro on the appointment of Swedish coach Roger Palmgren as the new Brave Warriors mentor, the NFA made a U-turn last week with the announcement that the Swede will take over the reins of the national team pending the finalisation of legal matters in his contract.

Youth, National Service, Sport and Culture Minister Jerry Ekandjo in April recommended the re-appointment of five current sport commissioners and the selection of a further four additional commissioners to the board of the Namibia Sport Commission (NSC).
