Most Namibians marvel at the thought of owning a modern car, however shy away from the prospect as the generally high prices of new car models are bound to leave their pockets empty for unending periods due to debt traps.
However, Auto Link Namibia, a new car dealership, might just be the light at the end of the tunnel for many as the dealership offers second hand modern car models imported from Singapore at prices as low as N$40 000.
Joe Zhaol, the owner and Managing Director of Auto Link Namibia said the dealership opened its doors to the public in June 2016 and currently boasts an inventory of 200 cars.
Zhaol added that Auto Link Namibia has a direct link to suppliers in Singapore making their prices some of the lowest in the market. He added that the cars go through a quality assurance process before they are imported, making them fit for the market.
The managing director explained that clients have a one week warranty, as Auto Link Namibia will fix or replace any parts if the car malfunctions. “All the cars go through a mechanical checkup before sales, if anything goes wrong within one week, you can come back and we’ll fix it for free. We also service the cars and offer parts,” Zhaol said.
Auto Link Namibia offers a no strings attached sales service as it only accepts cash transfers. Currently the dealership has hot deals such as the Nissan Sony 1.6 for a price of N$58 000. The dealership mainly deals in manual cars.
