Though Namibia is not a French speaking nation, it does offers French as a second language in 13 schools in the country. To celebrate the French language, the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre will host a celebration of the French culture and diversity from 22 to 24 March.

Immanuel Wilfried, the Mayor of Walvis Bay, officially welcomed the organisers of the prestigious Namibia Annual Music Awards (NAMAs) music awards to the coastal town and said it is it is heart-warming to see that the port city’s popularity is increasing as a destination for similar events.
