The ‘Ding-dong’ hit maker Allen Jonathan aka Swart Baster has released a new album entitled, ‘Chimbweto style’.

The 16 track CD contains English, Afrikaans and Rukwangali lyrics. Local artists Mr. Simple, Gerry, Gal Level, Tequila, Kamasutra, Ricardo and Brumelda feature on the album.
The Afro jive and Kwassa Fussion local artist told Informanté Entertainment that the album is named after a certain man called Chimbweto. He says, “When I met Chimbweto, I liked his dancing style. So, I decided to name the album Chimbweto style.”
The song ‘Let me go’ features the local R&B female duo Gal Level and tells a love story of a girl who wants her ex-girlfriend back.
Swart Baster says that ‘Mama’ is a very personal track for him. “I wrote the song for my mother who passed away last year in October. Now that she is gone, I miss her a lot and I sing about the days that she was still here with me,” he says.
‘Murodiva’ is a song against witchcraft and witchdoctors. The 34 year-old artist says he is very sad that many Namibians still believe in such nonsense.
The album ends with a song for Hifikepunye Pohamba, in which Swart Baster thanks the President for what he has done for the country.
Swart Baster will preform on Saturday (4 February) at 20h00 at Windhoek’s Chez Ntemba. The Album is expected to the launched later this year.
