A SENIOR manager at Windhoek’s largest retail shop, Trade Centre, Jan Rauwetha, was allegedly caught having sex in a car with a recently promoted employee in Kleine Kuppe last week.

Although the employees who witnessed the incident are being threatened with dismissal, the General Manager, Vic Goosen, confirmed the incident this week. He said it was a malicious rumour and that the company had launched an internal investigation into the matter.
“As management we can confirm to receiving the allegations. We have launched our internal investigations into the issue,” Goosen said.
The love-birds were allegedly caught in the act at the dispatch zone at the back of the warehouse by two female employees.
Eyewitnesses alleged the two had taken advantage of a Sunday when others were involved in stock-taking in the shop.
Rauwetha, who dismissed the allegations as baseless and threatened to take the Informanté to court if they publish the story, confirmed that he was being investigated.
“I do not know what you are talking about. I will challenge you in court if you go ahead with the article because my boss is still investigating the matter,” said a furious Rauwetha.
Informanté is reliably informed that Rauwetha was caught with his pants down with an employee identified only as Lahja who was recently promoted from the debtors’ clerk to become personal secretary.
“We saw the two making love in the car at the dispatching zone and the manager is threatening to dismiss us if we leak the information to outsiders,” said the employees.
Rauwetha is also allegedly involved with another employee known only as Fadilah who was promoted from the help desk to personal assistant and is currently on maternity leave.
Lahja refused to talk to Informanté and efforts to call Fadilah proved futile as she could not be traced.
