GEOLOGIST Roger Swart and artist Christine Marais will launch their book, Geomorphology of Namibia tomorrow at Studio 77.

The official launch will be done by Dr John Ward, a renowned Namibian geologist and recipient of the prestigious Henno Martin Medal, by the Geological Society of Namibia.
Swart who has a doctorate in Geology has been in Namibia for some time while Marais is a famous artist interested in Namibia’s natural history. Marais is well known as an artist of the natural history of Namibia who has also worked with other scientists on flora, fauna and fossils of Namibia. The book carries Marais’ paintings together with Swart’s text explaining the images on Namibia’s landscape geomorphology.
Apart from showing paintings, the book also has satellite images of some of Namibia’s beautiful resort areas. On sale too will be Marais’ original art works.
