BEAUTY pageant fanatics will be treated to a day of cat walking as two of the country’s modelling academies clash this  Saturday.

The two academies, Zambezi Modelling Academy (ZMA) and Basic African Modelling Academy (BAMA) will parade some of their beauties at Kongoma Night Club in Windhoek.
Sylvester Simubali, General Manager of ZMA and Serge Moyo of BAMA confirmed the event saying the pageant is meant to give modelling fans a treat for their support throughout the year.
Moyo said the event is also meant to show that his modelling academy is the best in the country and it exposes models to competition at an international stage.
Simubali said his ladies have been exposed to competition at the highest level and they can handle any pressure that comes with the catwalk.
Moyo described himself as the ‘godfather’ of cat walking saying his academy is the best when it comes to showcasing Namibia’s beauty
However, with battle lines drawn it remains to be seen whether the show will live up to the organisers’ promises or will give the ordinary to the public.
“The show is our goodwill to modelling supporters and it will also come with hampers and packages for the winners of the catwalk,” said Simubali.
The catwalk is expected to parade more than 25 contestants and some local designers will also have an opportunity to showcase their garments.
