HOTEL Deutches Haus manager in Swakopmund, Noelien Knipe, 31, appeared in the coastal town’s court last week on charges of assaulting her husband and businessman William Knipe, 40.

It could not be established why Noelien assaulted her husband but Informanté has a court protection order issued to her husband against her.
Noelien was remanded out of custody on N$500 bail and will return to court on 19 February 2009.
Although the couple is on separation, Noelien has been allowed access to their two children for three hours everyday after William who owns Quick Fitment Centre in the coastal town was awarded temporary custody.
The protection has since been altered such that Noelien no longer visits them at their Vineta home but that William takes them to her.
She has also been ordered to “’refrain from all future acts of domestic violence including; physical abuse, intimidation as well as emotional and psychological abuse” and “will have no access to any household content of their joint residence in Vineta”.
