Local Dancehall and Afro-Pop artist, Killa B, who vanished from the music scene for almost three years has now returned with his brand-new album. The 18-track album only arrived in stores two weeks ago, though ‘Top Shota’, was launched in December last year at the 99FM Playhouse theatre.

The album features local artists StreetKidz, The Dogg, Bennie K, Mr. Simple, Tayshaun, CJ, Mushe, Exit, Neslow, Tayshaun Sunny Boy and Oom Puff. It was produced by DJ Pierre Pratley from Washington and local producers, Maj Beatz, Elvo as well as Glo.
What makes Killa B (real name Kiljon Ngweda) newest offering different from his previous work are the different genres of music and the variety of languages. English, Afrikaans and Oshiwamboo listeners can all enjoy the album.
There are also Rave songs on the album that would bring life to any party. ‘House Party’ featuring Tayshaun is a perfect example of a Rave song that is suitable for any dance-through-the-night event. The song encourages everyone to come together to a house and have a good time.
‘Destiny, that Zimbabwean reggae artist, Mr. Simple, features on is one of the most difficult  projects that they have worked on together. When Informante Entertainment asked Killa B’s opinion on the song he said, “I did not like the song at first, but later actually I start liking it.”Female R&B artist Lovey shines on the love song ‘Nobody’ that is produced by Maj Beatz. The lyrics proclaim that “All I want to do is to make you smile, because I want to see you happy. I am not here just for the moment, but I will be here forever.”
The 32-year old artist describes his album as unique and says that ‘Top Shota’ is his best work to date. “My new CD is the perfect gift that both old and young can joyfully sing and dance to,” he says in excitement.
Killa B claims that his personal favourite on the album is ‘Crazy Nite’, featuring CJ from the Kalaharians. “In the song I had the opportunity to be free and do whatever I wanted to. The song is an electronic rock song and I just love it,” Killa B declares.
