The fourth round of the Bank Windhoek Namibian National Series will take place in Aranos on 9 June 2012. The event is to be held in and around the Aranos area covering ground on several farms on the outskirts of town. The Aranos Endurance Club, in partnership with the Namibian Enduro Club, has put in a great amount of effort to ensure that this event will again be a huge success and that there will be plenty of action for the riders and the spectators.
Saturday morning will see the traditional parade lap through the town with all the riders stopping at the local branch of Bank Windhoek to show their appreciation for the support and to promote the sport. With eleven classes set to run during this event, including a business relay class, entries look set to demonstrate the growth of the sport. The business relay class is open to both quad-bikes and motorbikes with two riders teaming up to complete the course. Each rider must complete a lap. Being the midway point in the national championship, things are heating up in all the classes, with the leaders trying to keep up the pace and the rest of the pack chasing hard to make up the points. The Aranos event has already become a much-anticipated event on the annual racing calendar. The great terrain and varied obstacles, including the now legendary fence ramps, will ensure a great day’s enjoyment for the riders, family and the community. All riders interested in this event or the Enduro sport can get more information on their website: www.namibianenduro.com or contact Coenie Kotze on 081 262 8479.
