CMC’s Ses’buyile, available from CAM Namibia in Windhoek, is a fresh new addition to the long-distance people transport business in Namibia.

This sixteen-seater dedicated people mover is a no frills, no fuss option for the business person interested in providing a quality travel alternative to more established players in the market. Featuring various safety additions such as an emergency roof exit, on-board fire extinguisher, rear and side reflective tape and a protective guard in the rear of the driver, the Sesbuyile demonstrates consideration for getting its driver there in one piece.
The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and a Brake Assist System (BAS) reaffirm the Ses’buyile’s underlying approach to road-handling. The five-speed manual gear system, with the gear lever situated high on the dash next to the steering wheel, is easy to use, The twin-cam multi-valve EFi petrol engine with VVT-I kicks out enough power to make driving the minibus a pleasure. Power-steering and the adjustable steering coulomb also add to the experience. White wall tyres provide adequate grip on the road, while the MP3 enabled CD player and radio with six speakers, ensures that good traveling music can accompany the occupants all the way. Extra storage space and a high quality feel to the finishing makes the driver’s space more comfortable. The Ses’buyile also features enough head-room for larger occupants, while passengers in the back benefit from cup holders and sufficient leg room.
Small storage spaces and compartments afford convenient places to put hand-luggage. One draw-back of the vehicle is that it only has two small rear windows that can be opened, and provides limited visibility through the rear windscreen. Also the Ses’buyile has a long body which could make getting in and out of tight corners tricky for beginners. Priced at about N$290 000 this 2.4 litre presents the perfect opportunity for the innovative investor eager to meet the every growing demand of Namibians for long-distance travel.
