The 12th annual Old Mutual Victory Race Series kicks off in Keetmanshoop on Saturday 16 June before proceeding to Swakopmund on 30 June.

The northern leg will take place in Oshakati on 21 July, with the finals scheduled to take place in Windhoek on 4 August of 2012. This year Old Mutual has made available N$510 000 for the race series. Included in this sponsorship are two Sports Development bursaries for learners worth twelve thousand each. Hillaria Johannes and Reinholdt Iita were the overall senior winners during the 2011 victory races edition; Julian Fryman and Ester Lazarus, demonstrated that the future of Namibian athletics is in good hands when they were crowned as the overall junior winners.
