Windhoek’s premier female rap artist, ‘Ru’ renowned for her funky and brightly-coloured hairstyles is currently working on the music video for her latest single entitled, ‘Incredible Hulk’. The single was released in May and the video is expected to be released early next month.

The Best Single Category Winner in the Namibian Annual Music Awards (NAMA) 2011 Ru (real name Ruusa Nampala) says that her newest single is produced with the sole purpose of entertaining and educating the public. The song tells the story of a superhero and sends out the message that: “If you want to do something do it big, or leave it alone.” RU is known as an unpredictable and eccentric artist who can often be seen in colourful music videos. So what will the ‘Incredible Hulk’ video be like? During an interview with Informanté Entertainment the rapper revealed that the video is expected to be totally out of the box. “We are currently writing the script for the music video and I can guarantee you that it will be very colourful and something different for the eye,” she says confidently. The Windhoek-born rapper says that the song is for everyone. “My music is not age-bound. I make music for everyone. Both young and old can listen to my music. If you like it then go for it. Increase the volume,” Ru said smiling.   The 22-year old artist further revealed that she won’t be having a launch music show for the song. According to her she would rather use the time for other things. “I would rather market my single,” she says.  The singer of the ‘Million Dollar Chick’ hit song, is artistically inclined and is also involved in graphic design and poetry. She has her own graphic design company, named ‘Cute Geek’ and she regularly writes poems for ‘Spoken Word’.
