Namibian artist, Capitol K is being faulted for impregnating his former girlfriend and not providing any support. The mother of their child, Desire Hoeses, 28, says that Capitol K (real name Capitol Kayambi) has up until today only contributed N$10 to the baby. “When the baby was three days old he came to the hospital and gave me N$10. That was the first and last day that I have seen him giving the baby something,” the mother sadly says.

She says that every child needs support, because they need things. She says that they need clothes, shoes, playthings, medication and need to go to the hospital very often for regular check-ups. The mother, who is from Karibib, further adds that it is not all about the money, but also about the father being there for his child.

Hoeses further reveals that the artist last saw their baby in April. “He came and took the child in December last year and the child stayed with him for three weeks. In April he came again, but after that day I have not seen or heard from him again.” Hoeses further accuses Capitol K of not responding to her phone calls. She says that when she calls he would simply not answer the phone and if he does he would merely blow into the phone.

An infuriated Hoeses insists that it is not good for a child not to know both their parents. She believes that children need love, care, play and to grow up knowing both parents.

So, how did their one-year old relationship come to an end? According to Hoeses he started to ignore her already when she was only four months pregnant. “When I told him that I am pregnant he was happy at first, but later he started to act cold towards me. He did not SMS, call or come to see me as often as he use to,” she recalls.

In response Capitol K claims that he went to South Africa and when he came back she was apparently already seeing someone else. When approached for comment the artist did not deny having the child with Hoeses. “Yes, I have an eight year old boy with her,” he admits. He also admits that the last time he saw his son was in April. “I performed in Karibib in April so I went to see my son. I would like to spend more time with him, but I am just too busy.”

Capitol K further revealed to Informanté Entertainment that he has thusfar fathered seven children. He explains that he has two children who stay in South Africa and five in Namibia. “They are with different mothers and spending time with them is actually very difficult for me. My music career is already keeping me busy,” he says.

Capitol K released his newest single entitled ‘Security’ in May.
