Khomas Nampol (KNVC) remained the leading team after a stunning performance at last weekend’s games at the DTS Hall in Olympia. The ladies in uniform defended their undefeated record against UNAM and the Oshikoto Police team from Tsumeb.

They were closely followed by the NDF team, who retained their second position on the log standing by defeating DTS. Coached by Joel Matheus, the NDF team impressed everyone with their good technical skills. Experienced setter, Sylvia Nampula, defended well against DTS and stood out above the rest.
Captain of Revivals Volleyball Club (RVC), 16-year old Lientjie Titus, lead her Katutura-based team to two victories against strong newcomer King Kauluma Palace (KKPVC) from Ondangwa, as well as the Polytechnic team from Windhoek. KKPVC struggled to block the very tall ladies of RVC, with the young Nokokure Kambatuku, who only recently joined the team, in excellent form.
Unfortunately the games against Eleven Warriors from Grootfontein could not take place, as only four of their players made it to Windhoek in time, thereby losing all points for the day. The league will break for three weeks and resume in Windhoek on 21 July 2012.
