The public at Oshakati is reportedly getting free internet access at Emily’s Internet Café daily for ten minutes to vote for Lady May and the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT), in conjunction with the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation, is expected to host a press conference today to discuss ways to support the Namibian Big Brother finalist.
The ten minute allocation of free internet access for those voting for Lady May started on 1 August and will come to an end before the finale on Sunday, 5 August. “We encourage everybody, both young and old to come to Emily’s Internet Café and vote for our Namibian queen,” the manager, Emily Hatuikulipi says. She adds that the aim of the free internet access is maximise the votes for Lady May and to simultaneously help promote the internet café that opened its doors to the public only two months ago. Hatuikulipi says that members of the public who are not familiar with internet will be assisted by one of the workers at Emily’s Internet Café. She wholeheartedly encourages the public to vote. “She is the only Namibian housemate still left in the house. We are all walking on Namibian soil, so let’s all support her. Namibia vote for Lady May.” In addition to Emily’s Internet Café support for the Namibian Stargame housemate the MICT and NBC are also expected to host a press conference today at 11h00, where they will discuss ways to help support the Namibian Big Brother finalist. “She has been making a steadily brave history in the music industry, soothing souls of many across our national diversity. She is once again making history through her brave participation in the BBA Stargame house (sic),” the organisers said in a statement released this week.
