THE Informanté newspaper has donated 16.8 kilograms of meat to the Kids’ Soup Kitchen at Ombili Community Center in Katutura last week. Informanté won the 2nd place in the second round of the Meatco Media Braai Chefs competition two weeks ago.The newspaper’s prizes included meat worth N$2 000 to donate to a charity of their choice.
Founder of the soup kitchen, Samuel Kapepo, started the soup kitchen for orphans and street children to provide children with a nutritious and balanced meal, clothing and education. Kapepo believes that all children should be given an equal opportunity in life, especially when it comes to the provision of basic needs such as shelter, clothing and food.
