U.S. Ambassador Dennise Mathieu, last Tuesday hosted a business breakfast for a U.S. Trade Delegation visiting Namibia to seek investment and business partnership opportunities.
The delegation, also scheduled to travel to the coast, will remain in Namibia until Saturday. Their areas of interest include tourism, mining, energy, education, and real estate. The US embassy said the breakfast aimed to promote discussions between U.S. and Namibian business leaders. Ambassador Mathieu encouraged the delegation to take advantage of U.S. trade incentives under the African Growth and Opportunity Act and financing tools under the Overseas Private Investment Corporation and the U.S. Export-Import Bank.
