DJ CNDO, also known as the Finest Lady of House, stood her ground as a female contender in the deejaying industry when she rocked the tables for hundreds of fans at club ObsessionZ last Friday.

DJ CNDO stunned the clubbers with her impressive deejaying style, particularly because they are used to being entertained by male deejays such as DJ Bojo Mojo and DJ Cleo.
She kept her cool throughout the night as she posed for photographs with several fans before taking control of the turntables.
One happy fan praised DJ CNDO, suggesting that she had skills comparable to many male deejays and that she knew what she was doing.
“She knows what she’s doing. One can’t even hear the difference between the two songs she’s mixing because she’s got the skill and is using it properly,” the fan said.
While studying Environmental Science at Mangosuthu Technikon, DJ CNDO, real name Sindisiwe Zungu, developed an interest in deejaying and learnt how to mix at Durban’s Finest DJ Academy. As soon as she had mastered the talent, she began to play every gig available at the Technikon.
In a previous interview with City Press, the ‘Seducer’ hit maker mentioned that her early love of music had motivated her to take up deejaying as a career. “I have loved music from a young age and wanted to be a singer. I became a DJ after realising that I cannot sing,” she said.
Her debut album, Finest Lady of House Vol.1, makes DJ CNDO the first black female deejay to release a house compilation in South Africa.
The club’s owner Michael Chirwa said DJ CNDO had personally rocked his night. “All I can say is that DJ CNDO doesn’t disappoint and she totally rocked the night,” he said.
He added that DJ CNDO was likely to come back with DJ Tira and Big Nuz from Durban’s Finest on February 28, as she loves Namibia and can’t wait to visit again.
