Informante Speed has asked a few children about whether they prefer to be driven by their moms or their dads and learned that children apparently prefer their mothers as drivers.

“I would rather drive with my mommy than anyone else. My mommy drives extra careful when I’m in the car. She also drives much slower than my daddy,” 10 year old Anthony Strauss says.
Another child who prefers her mother to drive her around is 11-year old Amy van Wyk. She says that she is more relaxed and happy to be in a vehicle when she knows that her mother will be the driver.
“My mother loves singing and she often sings while she is driving. I really do enjoy listening to her singing, because she has very beautiful voice,” Amy adds.
Two little sisters, Belinda and Bernice Engelbrecht, say that women love talking, even behind the steering wheel. “Our mother would always talk to us even when she is driving the car. She tells us stories that we sometimes fall asleep to when we drive on a long road,” agreed the sisters.
Nine-year old Daniella Usiku is convinced that she does not like driving with her father. She says “In the mornings when my daddy drives me to school and we are late he would drive fast and he often swears loudly at the taxi drivers. It sometimes makes me a little scared.”
