The seventh season of the attention-grabbing Big Brother Stargame Africa series officially kicked off last Sunday and Namibia has three women in the house this year.

Award-winning singer, Lady May (real name Martha Namundjebo) is the celebrity housemate from Namibia. When Multi-choice announced last Thursday that the Zoom Zoom hit-maker would be going into the Big Brother house social networking web sites, Facebook and Twitter, were flooded with comments as to whether she will show her middle finger to the public again?
The other two Namibians, Jessica Shikeva (21) and Junia Cloete (23) in the house are friends. “Guys, please search for booze!” Junia was screaming on the first night. Her cousin, Trevor Swartz revealed that Junia likes a drink. “After not succeeding last year she told me that she would enter again next time and this time she made it,” he says proudly. Junia’s aunt, Sofia Swarts, told Informante that she is a talkative person, makes friends easily and joins in any conversation.
Her mother, Maria Cloete revealed that Junia resigned from her job at a local lodge because they refused to give her off for three months to compete in the series. She says that she misses Junia a lot. “She is my youngest child. We are very close.”
Jessica is a Human Resources student from Windhoek. Former Big Brother housemate, Bernardina Buys, says that she met Jessica last year. “She will definitely give the other housemates a run for their money.  She is an outspoken person.” Bernardina further says that Jessica is a drama queen and will keep the audience glued to their seats.
Monique Buys says that she first met Jessica in 2009 and Jessica told her earlier this year that she would enter the Big Brother game. “I saw her on Sunday on the Big Brother show. She made it. I am really very proud of her. I was hoping that someone I know would enter the house this year. Now I can watch all day and night,” she enthused. She says Jessica is not a pretender and what the viewers have seen of her in the house is apparently who she really is. Jessica is based at Lingua Consultancy Services and is currently furthering her studies in Human Resources management.
Her former lecturer at Triumphant College, Collin Madziwo, says Jessica a noisy and straight-forward person. “She likes speaking her mind and won’t tolerate being bulled by anyone in the house,” he says.
Viewers can watch the Big Brother Stargame on AfricaMagic Entertainment and DStv channel 198.
