SHAME: A painful feeling of humiliation or distress caused by the consciousness of wrong or foolish behaviour. It is linked with words such as disgrace and dishonour. I’m using the word shame because all the decisions our politicians make in this country are possible because of us, the voters, who mandated them with such powers; powers to turn against us when they should deliver on their promises.
