Top South African coach, Owen Da Gama, the current coach of Bloemfontein Celtic in the South African premier league was in the country on Monday scouting for players from the local premier league’s crème de la crème. Da Gama jetted into Namibia and headed straight to SKW field where a friendly match had been organised for him.

Doors into the national team opened this week for the country’s leading marksman Jerome Louis following a groin injury suffered by Jomo Cosmos forward Lazarus ‘Tommy’ Kaimbi and the withdrawal of German export Wilco Risser from the Brave Warriors match against DRC. Kaimbi arrived in the country last week driving the latest brand of the new Audi A3 bought for him as an incentive by South African club owner Jomo Sono for the player’s contribution in helping Cosmos return into that country’s top flight league. However, he has since ruled himself out of the DRC game on June 6 in the capital.
