WITH water the hot topic of conversation, whether it be floods in the north, rivers overflowing or severe water shortages in Walvis Bay, a new crisis has reared its ugly head in the harbour town, with a growing number of reported cases of water and water metre theft.

THE teenage killings of two newborn babies in the coastal region have sparked a wave of shock and outrage across the community, particularly from Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner Festus Shilongo, who described the acts as “inhumane”.
