THE national budget presented in the National Assembly last week generated wide-ranging interests in various sectors of our society. As a significant episode on our economic calendar the budget attracted more questions than answers this year because of the global economic financial turmoil and the floods in the north and north-eastern parts of the country.

SATURDAY March 21 is a defining moment in Namibia’s history. Apart from the fact that we will be marking 19 years of majority rule, a generation often referred to as the bornfrees comprising Namibians born after independence will cast their votes in the country’s parliamentary and presidential elections for the first time.
