WITH regard to governance, Namibia is leading the way in the representation of women in local government, moving up from 42% to 48% in the past nine years. In contrast, only 6% of women are in government in DRC, reflecting the lowest representation in the region.

TRIBAL tension has flared up between the Inspector-General of the Namibian Police, Lieutenant-General Sebastian Ndeitunga and the outspoken Paramount Chief of the OvaHerero Traditional Authority (OTA) and former Attorney-General, Advocate Vekuii Rukoro, after the closure of bars operating illeg
