This year’s Ondangwa Trade and Industrial Exhibition (OTIE) is expected to boost the economy of the town through trade activities during the annual fair, which will take place from
28 April to 6 May.Maria

This year’s OTIE will be held under the theme ‘Empowering businesses towards an industrial nation.’
Chief Executive Officer of Ondangwa, Ismael Namgongo, said that the expo will provide a platform for the identification and harnessing of business and investment opportunities, especially in the agriculture sector, as well as for small and medium enterprises.
Namgongo added that the trade and industry exhibition will help micro and local business owners showcase their products, do business and learn from each other, at the same time creating investment opportunities for the people at the northern town.
“As people will be coming to the trade fair, it will also benefit everyone doing business in the town which will result in local economic improvement,” noted Namgongo.
Oshana governor Clemens Kashuupulwa said that Ondangwa is embarking on yet another exhibition in order to meet the needs and aspirations of its residents and Namibians at large.
Kashuupulwa added that Ondangwa has grown substantially over the past decade and has made significant progress in both residential and business property development, which has positioned the town as a strategic central business hub between Omuthiya, Ongwediva and Helao Nafidi towns.
“This year’s exhibition will attract both foreign and local investors to invest in the industrial development of Ondangwa town and create more job opportunities for our people,” said Kashuupulwa.
Kashuupulwa added that through this exhibition, Ondangwa will not only accelerate its local economic growth but will also benefit the local businesses, exhibitors and the entire region.
