Teams advance in Debmarine Namibia Cup

The Debmarine Namibia Cup kicked off the preliminary rounds in some regions with four teams through to the next rounds.
Four football teams, Rhino FC, Kantema Bullets, Eleven Champions and Outjo Football Academy were the teams that made their regions proud when they booked their places in the next round when they won the regional playoffs last weekend.
The Khomas Debmarine Namibia Cup saw 37 goals scored over 15 games played, as Eleven Champions were crowned champions, courtesy of a 2-1 win over Impala Chiefs at the Sam Nujoma stadium in Windhoek.
Rhino FC scored 30 goals in 11 games as they defeated Chief Sitentu 2-1 in the final game on Sunday afternoon, 12 February, at the Nkurenkuru Stadium in Kavango West.
Kantema Bullets were crowned regional champions with 39 goals scored in 11 games at the Rundu Sports Stadium.
Young Braves, Future FC, Ogongo FC and Blue Birds reached the Omusati region semi-finals which will be played on Saturday, 18 February, with the final set for Sunday at the DAPP Soccer Stadium in Outapi,
The Kunene regional playoff were contested and Outjo Football Academy beat Okaukuejo’s Young Eagles 3-1 to reach the next stage of the competition at Outjo Sports Stadium.
Meanwhile, the cup elimination round for the Southern Stream First Division (SSFD) is scheduled for Mariental on 25 and 26 February. The winners of the round will each walk away with N$20 000, while losing finalists win N$10 000.
The 16 Namibia Premier League (NPL) will join in Round 32.
